Power LED & Battery Mod Kit

Component Guide

CR2032 3V Battery

CR2032 batteries typically have a lifespan of roughly 10 - 20 years depending on their use and environment. Given the age of the GameCube, the original battery should be replaced. Included with this kit is a new CR2032 3V lithium coin cell battery.

Install the battery holder before inserting the new battery so it doesn’t get damaged by heat from your soldering iron.

20MM Coin Cell Battery Holder

Having to get your soldering iron out to swap a battery is a pain! That’s why this kit comes with a 20MM battery holder so you can easily replace a 2020 or 2032 coin cell battery with ease when the time comes.

Make sure the positive side, marked with a + on the diagram, faces toward the LED when installed.

3MM Color LED

Replacing the stock power LED with a new color LED of your choosing is a simple way to customize your GameCube and make is stand out from the others. Make sure to install the LED with the longer lead (the + side) facing towards the battery.

If you want to save the original LED, mark the positive side with a marker before removing it. That way, if you ever reinstall it you will know which direction it should be.
